Description

The Slend 03 is a slim pendant light in aluminium and iron, shaped as a tall spindle: a fine tapering neck, a waisted collar, then a long body that flares gently towards its open base. It is 74.4cm long with a shade just 7.5cm across, so it hangs as a fine vertical line. It takes one GU10 bulb of up to 8W, which provides the light and is sold separately, so you can choose the bulb and the warmth of light that suits the room. We offer it in Textured White, Textured Black, Textured Pebble Grey, Textured Olive Grey, Textured Terracotta, Textured Grey Blue or Textured Sand Yellow, so it can sit quietly or bring a note of colour.

Its narrow profile suits a dining room, hung low over the table, where it lights the meal without crowding the space or blocking anyone's view across it. In a living room it works beside a favourite chair or above a side table. Because it takes up so little width, several can be grouped together at different heights for a rhythm of slim forms. It can hang at a drop of anywhere from 90cm to 200cm, with 125.5cm of cable, so it suits standard and taller ceilings alike. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms indoors.

The body combines aluminium and iron, and every finish is textured. The design is by Christophe Mathieu. At the ceiling, a neat canopy 8cm across keeps the fixing discreet. It is a Class II fitting that runs on 230V mains power, and it is wired in by a qualified electrician, so plan its position over the table or chair before they arrive.
