Description
The Sirio is a small outdoor spotlight built to be aimed, a die-cast aluminium head on a hinged base that swivels to point its beam where you need it. Behind a clear tempered glass front the light throws forward in a direct cone, so it works as a projector rather than a soft wash: turned up a wall it grazes the surface, set low it picks out a plant, a step or a doorway. Lit, it reads as a focused shaft of light from a compact block; unlit, it sits as a neat grey shape barely 190mm tall.
Sealed to IP65 against dust and driven rain, it is made for the garden, a porch, an entrance or a poolside edge, and its hinged bracket lets you fix it to a wall or the ground and still angle the head. It takes a single GX53 bulb, which is not included, so the tone and brightness are yours to choose; the recommended bulb is a GX53 9W 4000K cool white at CRI80, giving a crisp outdoor light, though a warmer 3000K bulb suits a softer setting. It is not dimmable, and runs straight off the 220 to 240 volt mains with no separate driver needed.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium in grey with a clear tempered glass diffuser, rated insulation class I and cleared for use from minus 15 to plus 45 degrees. Measuring 100mm wide, 50mm deep and 190mm tall, it stays discreet on a wall or in a border. We supply the fitting on a five-year warranty; a GX53 bulb is added separately to light it.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Sirio give?
A focused, directional beam. It is an aimable outdoor spotlight, so the head swivels on its base to throw a direct cone of light up a wall, across a step or onto a plant rather than lighting a whole area evenly. The tone depends on the GX53 bulb you fit.
Is a bulb included, and which one does it take?
No bulb is included. It takes one GX53 cap bulb up to 9W, so you add the light source to suit; a good match is a GX53 9W 4000K cool white at CRI80. A warmer 3000K bulb can be fitted instead for a softer outdoor glow.
Can it be used outdoors, and can it be dimmed?
Yes, it is rated IP65 against dust and driven rain and cleared from minus 15 to plus 45 degrees, so it suits a garden, porch, entrance or poolside. It is not dimmable and runs off the mains with no separate driver required.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It is compact at 100mm wide, 50mm deep and 190mm tall, on a hinged base that fixes to a wall or the ground and angles the head. That makes it well suited to wall grazing, uplighting a facade or picking out planting and steps, in the grey finish.
