Description
The Sirio is a low outdoor bollard that stands 300mm off the ground and pushes its light out through a band of sandblasted glass near the top. The frosted glass softens the source into an even glow rather than a hard beam, so lit it marks the ground around its base without glaring at eye level. Switched off by day, the coffee-toned aluminium post reads as a small, plain square column beside a border or step.
This is the shortest height in the range at 300mm, on a compact 100mm wide footprint that reaches 160mm front to back. That low stance suits edging a path, lining a set of steps or marking the front of a planted bed, where a taller post would sit awkwardly over low shrubs. Rated IP65, the body and its glass are sealed against dust and water jets, so it stands up to open ground, exposed plots and coastal weather all year.
This version takes a single GX53 bulb up to 9W, which you choose and fit yourself, so you set the brightness and colour temperature to match the rest of the garden. The bulb is not included. Finished in powder-painted coffee, the aluminium is built for outdoor life and holds its shade through rain and sun. We would wire it to a suitable outdoor supply through a qualified electrician.

Frequently Asked
What sort of light does the Sirio give?
A soft, even glow at ground level. The GX53 bulb sits behind a band of sandblasted glass, which diffuses the light so it marks a path or border around the base rather than throwing a bright source into the eye.
Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?
This 300mm version takes a replaceable GX53 bulb up to 9W, which is not included. You fit the bulb yourself, so you can pick the brightness and colour temperature you want. The taller 600mm and 800mm Sirio bollards use an integrated LED instead.
Can it stay outside in all weather?
Yes. It carries an IP65 rating, which seals the powder-painted aluminium body and glass against dust and water jets, so it copes with rain, exposed gardens and coastal sites through the year. It should be wired to an outdoor supply by a qualified electrician.
How tall is it and where does it suit?
It stands 300mm high on a 100mm wide post, the lowest option in the range. That low height edges a path, lines steps or marks the front of a border without hiding the planting behind it.
