The Simen Ø80 is a round recessed spotlight fitting that takes a single GU10 or MR16 (Gx5.3) lamp up to 10W, letting you choose the lumen output, colour temperature and beam angle by selecting the bulb to suit. As a recessed fitting it sits flush in the ceiling and directs a focused pool of light downward, which makes it a tidy way to build a run of accent or general lighting. Across the Atlantic this style of trim sits within the recessed can light family, the fixed downward holder that a separate lamp slots into. The fitting runs on either 12V AC, 12V DC or mains 220-240V AC, so it works with both low-voltage and mains GU10 lamps.

The Simen suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms where a low-profile recessed point is wanted rather than a surface fitting. Because it is an IP20 fitting it is for dry indoor rooms only, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location.
