Description

The Siam 120 is a large ceiling light with a wide, shallow shade of White Translucent Ribbon. The ribbon is gathered into fine pleats that run from a round white diffuser at the centre out to the rim. It is 120cm across and 61cm high, hanging from a white stem 31.5cm long, so it covers a great deal of ceiling while keeping a shallow cone shape. The translucent ribbon lets the light through, so the whole shade glows when it is lit. It takes six E27 bulbs, 15W maximum each, which are sold separately and are what give it its light.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only. Its size suits a generous room with a high ceiling: over a long dining table, at the heart of an open-plan living space, or in a wide hallway or stairwell where a single broad fitting matches the scale of the room. Bear in mind the overall height of 61cm when you plan where it goes, so it clears heads comfortably.
