Description

The Seville is a ceramic pendant light with a shallow drum shade and a domed top, finished in a Matt White Striped glaze whose fine vertical ridges run all the way round. It is 15.5cm tall and 28cm across, so it brings a soft, textured shape to the ceiling without crowding the room. The shade hangs from brass fittings, and you choose their finish: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Satin Brass, with the Matt Black finish painted in RAL 9005. It takes one E27 bulb, sold separately, at up to 40W per bulb. The bulb sits low under the open rim of the shade.

We think it is happiest in a dining room, hung over the table, where its 28cm width sits comfortably above place settings, and it is just as much at home in a living room, over a coffee table or in a quiet corner by a reading chair. The Matt White Striped glaze sits easily with plaster walls, pale wood and linen, and the five metal finishes let you match the fittings to door handles, curtain poles or the other lights in the room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

Every light is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass and ceramic, and the Matt White Striped glaze stays the same whichever finish you pick. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. This is a mains fitting, and it is for a qualified electrician to install, wired in to the mains. As the bulb hangs partly below the shade, it is worth choosing one you will be glad to look at.
