Description

The Seville pendant light pairs a ceramic shade with brass fittings, and the shade is what draws the eye. Its Black Clay glaze is broken by a fine white crackle that spreads across the surface like the veins of a dried leaf, giving the clay a rich, tactile texture. The shade is a wide drum with a small domed crown, 15.5cm tall and 28cm across, open at the base so the light from its single bulb falls downwards. The brass fittings come in your choice of Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black or Satin Brass, so you can set the dark clay against bright gold, an aged metal or a quiet black.

Hung low over a dining table, the Seville sends its light down onto the table, and the textured clay still gives the room something to look at when the bulb is off. It suits a living room just as well, hung above a reading chair or a side table, and a row of them makes a handsome line over a long dining table. At 28cm across, it sits comfortably in a smaller dining room yet holds its own in a larger living space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

Every Seville is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and ceramic, and the Black Clay glaze comes with every finish. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb; bulbs are sold separately, so you can pick the one that suits the room. It is a mains fitting, so a qualified electrician needs to wire it in to the mains for you. Pick the finish that suits your room and the Black Clay shade does the rest.
