This set of three nesting elephant figurines brings a calm, earthy note to a shelf or mantelpiece. Each elephant is a simple rounded arch with a raised ear, a small eye and a trunk that curls down to meet the base, and the three come in graduated sizes so each smaller one tucks neatly inside the next. They are made from resin, also known as polystone, with a dark brown wood-effect finish: fine grain lines in a deeper shade run across every surface and give the pieces a tactile, textured look. Nested together, the set measures 17cm high, 18cm wide and 6.5cm deep.

Nested as one piece, the three make a compact shape that sits comfortably on a bookcase, a windowsill, a sideboard or the corner of a desk, where the stepped arches draw the eye without crowding the space. Set out separately, side by side or in a line from largest to smallest, they spread a little wider across a mantelpiece or console table, and they suit a living room, hallway, bedroom or study equally well.
