Description

The Seralba is a semi flush ceiling light that holds a wide opal white glass shade close to the ceiling, in the classic schoolhouse shape with a stepped profile and a softly rounded base. The glass sits in a brass gallery fixed with small thumbscrews, under a short stem and a round ceiling plate. It is 30cm tall and 36cm across, and the opal glass spreads a soft, even glow with no bare bulb on view. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W per bulb, and the bulb is sold separately. We offer it in Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White, Polished Brass or Satin Brass, with Matt Black painted to RAL 9005 and White to RAL 9010.

Rated IP44, the Seralba suits a bathroom as well as the drier rooms of the house; it is made for indoor use. Because it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a long drop, it works well in a hallway, where you want good light without anything at head height, and in any room where the ceiling is on the low side. The wide opal shade gives a gentle, general light rather than a tight pool, which makes it a good main light for a bathroom or a hall. The antique finishes, Antique Silver and Antique Brass, give an aged look that sits well in an older house, while Natural Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass bring warmth, and Matt Black or White keep things plain.

Every Seralba is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass and glass. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. Before you order, check the headroom: the light drops 30cm from the ceiling.
