Description

The Senna is a compact ceramic ceiling light: a slim cylinder shade in a Red Iron glaze, open at the bottom and set on a round ceiling plate with a short stem. The glaze is a warm, earthy red broken by a pale, speckled texture and soft ridges, so the surface has the look of weathered stone. The light is made of brass and ceramic, and the metalwork comes in a choice of finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Copper or Satin Brass, with Matt Black matched to RAL 9005. It takes one E27 bulb, sold separately, at up to 40W per bulb, so you choose the bulb yourself. At 23cm tall and 12cm across, it is a neat size for a smaller room.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only. We like it in a hallway or on a landing, above a bed, in a study, or as a pair over a dining table, where the textured glaze brings warmth to a plain ceiling. The finishes change its character: Antique Brass and Antique Silver have an aged, softer tone that sits well in an older house, Polished Brass and Polished Copper add a bright shine, Satin Brass gives a gentler glow, and Matt Black draws a crisp line against pale paint.

The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
