Description

The Sempra 4I is a four-head ceiling and wall light that takes four GU10 lamps, each rated up to 10W, running directly from a 220-240V AC mains supply. Each head can be angled independently, so the four PAR16 beams can be aimed at different points across a room or lined up to wash one area. Sold in the US as a four-light fixed-track spotlight bar, it gives directional light from a single mounting point rather than a broad even spread, which makes it a flexible way to pick out where the light lands.

Because the heads adjust, the Sempra 4I works well over a kitchen worktop, along a hallway, or above a seating or reading corner in a living room, where each lamp can be turned towards the spot that needs it. With four separately aimed heads it covers a wider zone than a single spotlight, suiting a medium room or a longer run such as a kitchen island. It mounts to either the ceiling or the wall, so on a standard ceiling height the heads can be dropped towards a work surface, or fitted to a wall to graze art or shelving. The GU10 lamp choice lets you set the brightness and colour tone to the room rather than being fixed to one output.

The bar is built from steel in a black finish, with four GU10 heads on a single fixed base. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is for dry indoor rooms only and should be kept clear of bathrooms and any damp or outdoor positions. The fitting weighs 1.01kg and mounts to the ceiling or wall, with GU10 lamps fitting into each head from the front for easy replacement. Dimmability depends on the GU10 lamps chosen and any dimmer fitted on the circuit. The wider Sempra range includes other head counts and finishes to match across a scheme.

How do I clean the fitting?

Switch the light off and let the lamps cool, then wipe the steel heads and bar with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents on the black finish, and do not let water run into the lamp holders. Make sure the fitting is fully dry before switching it back on.
