Description
A three wick scented candle in a hand blown recycled glass vessel, 13cm tall and 13cm across. The glass is cloudy rather than clear and shades from a smoky grey at the rim down to a mottled band of speckled gold around the foot, so the wax shows pale through the upper half and warm through the lower. The rim is thickened and slightly uneven, and the three cotton wicks stand in a triangle across the surface of the wax.
There is 950g of wax here and a burn time of 75 to 80 hours, which makes this a candle for a room rather than a table setting. The three wicks are spread across the full 13cm width, so the wax melts out to the glass. The scent is sea salt and moss over warm sandalwood, with cumin, patchouli and birch tar underneath it. At 13cm across it wants a surface it can stand square on, a hearth, a sideboard or a low table.
The wax is a blend of sustainably sourced European soy wax and natural beeswax, poured by hand in the UK, with a pure cotton wick. The vessel is hand blown from recycled glass, so the thickness of the wall and the run of the gold speckling differ from one to the next, and it is made to be kept and used again once the candle has burned down. The same scent is also made as a single wick candle at 9cm.

Frequently Asked
How long does it burn for?
Approximately 75 to 80 hours.
How many wicks does it have?
Three, in a vessel 13cm across and 13cm tall holding 950g of wax.
What does it smell of?
Sea salt and moss over warm sandalwood. The blend includes natural essential oils of cumin, patchouli and birch tar.
How should I burn it?
The first time it is lit, let the wax melt right out to the sides of the vessel. Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn, and burn it for at least two hours but no more than four at a time. Keep it in a well ventilated room away from draughts, stand it on a stable heat protected surface away from children, pets and anything flammable, and do not move it while it is alight. Always remove any dust or debris before re-lighting, stop burning when about 10mm is left and never leave it unattended.
Can the vessel be used again?
Yes. Put it in a freezer for six to twelve hours, or until the wax has shrunk away from the glass and can be knocked out gently. Wipe the inside with a clean damp cloth to lift any residue. Do not leave it to soak, do not scrub it, and keep abrasive cloths and harsh detergents away from it.
