Description
The Knightsbridge screwless 3-gang grid faceplate is a 148mm-wide cover plate in smoked bronze premium-grade steel, designed to clip onto a GDS002F grid sub-frame (sold separately). The plate accepts three standard grid modules in any combination — switches, sockets, dimmers, shaver sockets, TV/satellite outlets or data ports — allowing custom electrical installations without visible screws on the wall.
Designed for residential and commercial installations where a modular grid system provides more flexibility than fixed gang configurations, the faceplate suits kitchens needing varied socket/switch combinations, home offices requiring data and power in one plate, and hotel rooms where guest charging, lighting and AV controls sit together. The screwless cover clips onto the metal sub-frame after the grid modules are wired, hiding all fixings behind a clean 3.5mm-projection front plate.
The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic tone with subtle brushed texture that sits between gunmetal grey and oil-rubbed bronze, pairing well with dark wood, black steel fixtures and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The premium-grade steel construction resists fingerprints better than polished finishes and maintains its appearance over years of use. The IP20 rating suits dry internal locations but not bathrooms or outdoor use.

Frequently Asked
What sub-frame does this faceplate require?
The faceplate requires one Knightsbridge GDS002F 3-gang grid sub-frame, sold separately. The sub-frame is fixed to a standard 35mm back box, grid modules are clipped into the frame, then the screwless cover plate clips onto the frame to hide all fixings.
What grid modules can be used?
Any combination of Knightsbridge 20mm-wide grid modules: switches (1-way, 2-way, intermediate), dimmers, 13A sockets, USB outlets, shaver sockets, TV/satellite co-ax outlets, RJ45 data ports, telephone sockets, or blank plates. Each module occupies one of the three grid positions.
Can the faceplate be removed for redecorating?
Yes. The screwless cover plate unclips from the sub-frame without disturbing the wiring behind. The wall can be painted around the sub-frame, then the cover re-clipped once paint is dry.
What other finishes are available?
Knightsbridge produces this grid faceplate in polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt black, white and smoked bronze. Search Niori for other finishes or use the grid faceplate category filter.
