Description

The Knightsbridge 1-gang screwless grid faceplate provides an 88mm square cover for modular grid systems, finished in anthracite premium-grade steel. The screwless design uses a clip-on cover plate that fits over a separate GDS001F sub-frame (sold separately), eliminating visible fixings once installed.

Designed for use with Knightsbridge's screwless modular grid system, the faceplate accepts one grid module (switches, dimmers, data ports) housed in the sub-frame below. The grid system allows electricians and installers to build custom switch configurations using standard components rather than fixed-layout plates, making it suited to bespoke residential projects, commercial fit-outs and heritage buildings where switch layouts vary room-to-room.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey-brown metallic tone that sits between matt black and brushed graphite, offering a softer alternative to pure black in contemporary and industrial interiors. At 3.5mm projection from the wall, the faceplate adds minimal bulk compared to traditional screw-fixed plates. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry internal areas only.

The 25-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the steel construction and finish under normal use. The faceplate is compatible only with Knightsbridge's screwless grid components — it will not fit standard single-gang back boxes or non-grid switch mechanisms.

Can this be used with standard single-gang switches?
