Description

The Sazan is a ceiling fan and ceiling light in one round fitting, finished in black and white. A black outer band frames a milky acrylic diffuser ring, a black radial grille covers the fan blades at the centre, and a white canopy sits against the ceiling. It measures 55cm across and 20cm high, and it mounts close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a long rod. The light comes from integrated LEDs: three lights of 12.6W each, giving 1,600 lumens per light, so there are no bulbs to buy or change.

We see it doing its best work in a living room or a bedroom, where one fitting covers two jobs: the main light for the room and a cooling breeze on warm days. It frees the floor space a standing fan would take, and it keeps the ceiling tidy with a single fitting. The remote control comes in the box, so in a bedroom you can change the fan speed or the light without getting out of bed. The colour temperature runs from 2700K, a warm white for evenings, to 6500K, a crisp daylight white, and the light is dimmable, so it suits reading, relaxing and getting ready in the morning alike.

The body is steel and ABS in black and white, and the shade is milky acrylic, which spreads the light softly and keeps the LEDs out of direct view. The fan has three speeds, so you can choose a gentle movement of air on a mild evening or a stronger draught on a hot afternoon. It runs on 220 to 240V, 50Hz mains, carries energy class E and weighs 4.714KG packed, which is worth knowing when you plan the fitting. As a wired-in ceiling fitting it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download to share before the day.
