Description

The Satellite is a 90cm circular LED suspension light with six adjustable spotlights mounted on a white metal ring frame. Each spotlight rotates 340° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically, allowing light to be directed independently across different zones of the room. An integrated 42W LED module runs through the frame, providing 3000K warm white light from behind acrylic lenses.

Designed for open-plan living rooms, dining areas, kitchen islands and office spaces where multi-directional task and accent lighting is needed, the Satellite replaces the function of six separate spotlights with a single ceiling fitting. The circular form distributes the six light sources evenly around a 90cm diameter, creating balanced coverage when all spotlights are angled outwards or focused task lighting when several are directed towards the same surface. The suspension cables are adjustable between 33cm and 120cm drop, accommodating ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

The white powder-coated metal frame suits minimalist, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors where ceiling fittings are kept visually light. The acrylic lenses soften the LED output without diffusing it to the point where the directional control is lost. At 42W total output across six spots, the fitting provides significant illumination without the heat build-up of halogen equivalents, and the IP20 rating confirms suitability for dry indoor locations only.

Can the spotlights be angled independently?

Yes. Each of the six spotlights rotates 340° horizontally and tilts 90° vertically on individual ball joints, allowing you to direct light to different surfaces or focus multiple spots on the same area.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED module is integrated into the frame and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10 years of typical residential use.

What ceiling height does it need?

The suspension cables adjust between 33cm and 120cm drop. For typical installation above a dining table or kitchen island, a ceiling height of 2.4m or higher is recommended to allow comfortable head clearance beneath the fitting.

Can it be dimmed?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable and operates at full 42W output when switched on. If dimming is required, the fitting would need to be paired with a compatible smart switch system, though Maytoni does not guarantee performance with third-party dimmers.
