Description

A small spotlight in matt black, sized at 80mm across the base and standing just over a hand's width tall. It takes a GU10 lamp, and the reflector type it is designed around throws a defined pool of light rather than a soft wash, so you get direction and contrast instead of a flat glow. The black finish keeps the fitting quiet against a dark ceiling and reads as a deliberate dot against a pale one.

Single spots like this earn their place where you want light aimed at something specific: over a worktop, along a run of shelving, above a reading chair, or picking out artwork in a hallway. We use them in twos and threes at spacing to suit the run, and they sit happily on a ceiling or a wall where a larger fitting would crowd the space. Dimming is possible if you choose a dimmable lamp, with a compatible dimmer on the circuit, which makes them useful in rooms that shift from task light to evening light. It suits flats, low ceilings and any spot where a pendant would be in the way.

The body is finished in a low sheen black that hides fingerprints better than gloss, and the matt surface is best kept with an occasional wipe using a barely damp cloth once the power is off and the lamp has gone cold; avoid solvents and anything abrasive, as scouring will polish the finish unevenly. Its intended home is a dry interior room on a normal household circuit. It carries a one year warranty.
