Description

The Saganto 1 is a tall floor lamp with a wide drum shade carried on a slim steel stem and a flat, round base. The shade has a brushed metallic look in brown and copper tones, and the stem and base are finished in a deep brown that lets the shade take the eye. It stands 166.5cm tall, the shade is 45cm across and the base is 30cm across. It takes one E27 bulb with a maximum of 60W, and the bulb is not included, so you choose the light. With an IP20 rating it is made for dry rooms indoors, which keeps it away from bathrooms and anywhere water can reach.

Its height lifts the shade well clear of the arm of a sofa or armchair, which makes it a natural partner for a reading corner, the end of a settee or a quiet spot in a bedroom. The round base keeps a modest footprint, so it fits beside a sideboard or in the corner of a living room without taking over the floor. The brown and copper finish sits comfortably with warm woods, leather, deep greens and creams, adding a touch of metallic colour without the glare of polished chrome. Because the bulb is your choice, you decide how warm or soft the light is.

The stem and base are steel and the drum shade is plastic, held by a slim cross frame inside it. A foot switch lets you turn the lamp on and off without reaching under the shade, which is handy when your hands are full. Packed, it weighs 8.78KG, so a second pair of hands helps when you carry the box. The installation instructions come as a download. For the best result, fit an E27 bulb of no more than 60W; a warm white bulb suits the brown and copper tones.
