Description

The Saceda is a wall light in black and gold: a round black backplate holds a gently curved steel shade that is black on the outside and a hammered, rippled gold on the inside. It is 25cm across and 29cm high, and it stands just 12.5cm out from the wall, so it keeps a slim profile in a hallway, on a landing or beside a bed. It takes a single E27 screw bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, which leaves the choice of light colour and bulb style with you. The IP20 rating settles where it can go: indoors, in dry rooms, and away from bathrooms and outdoor walls.

With the bulb lit, the hammered gold catches the light and scatters it across its textured face, while the black outer side keeps the wall light calm and graphic when it is unlit. It suits a living room, a bedroom, a dining room or a reading corner, and we like it in a pair either side of a bed, a mirror or a sideboard. Black and gold sit comfortably against dark painted walls and plain white plaster alike.
