Description

The Ruben is a small bulkhead wall light in brass and glass: an oval body with a cage of brass bars over clear ribbed glass, and four fixing lugs around its rim. It is 20cm tall and 14cm wide, and it projects 10cm from the wall, so it sits close and neat without crowding a room. It takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb. Bulbs are sold separately, which leaves the choice of bulb to you, and the ribbed glass softens the view of the bulb behind it.

Rated IP54, the Ruben is at home in a bathroom, and it suits a bedroom, a dining room or a living room just as well, where a pair either side of a bed or a sideboard gives a practical light. It is an indoor fitting, made for rooms inside the house. It comes in Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Natural Brass and Raw Brass, and in painted colours, each given a RAL reference: Matt Vanilla Cream, Sage Green, Matt Antique Pink, Matt Black, Matt Honey Yellow, Matt Mint Turquoise, Matt Sapphire Blue, Orange, Red and Racing Green. The metal finishes keep the honest, workmanlike look of the bulkhead, while the colours let it pick up a painted wall or cabinet.

Every Ruben is made to order in Ireland, in brass and glass, so the one on your wall is made for you. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. It is a mains fitting, to be wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so book one in good time and have your E27 bulb ready for the day it goes up. Our photographs show the Antique Silver, Antique Brass and Natural Brass finishes.
