Description

The Rose Square is a 4 light cluster chandelier in matt black, built on a smooth brass structure that hangs from a single ceiling canopy on textile cable. One unit includes two square frames, one 30cm and one 45cm, and four shades, each taking one GU10 mini lamp. The frames stack one above the other to draw a fine outline in the air, and the four shades drop beneath them as a cluster of slim tubes, sending light downward. It comes in three sizes, named for the height of the shades: the 16cm size has shades 16cm tall, the 25cm size has shades 25cm tall and the 40cm size has shades 40cm tall. All three have a 10cm wide canopy and 2.5m of cable.

Because the frames are open, this cluster chandelier gives a room real presence overhead without blocking the view across it. We like it above a dining table, in a living room with a generous ceiling height, or in a hallway or office that needs some structure. The 16cm shades keep it compact for a lower room, while the 40cm shades are longer and bolder for a tall space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Its control is on-off switched, so it runs from an ordinary light switch.

The brass structure is finished in matt black, and the textile cable gives each drop a soft, tailored line. It takes four GU10 lamps, one in each shade. Lamps are not included, so pick four GU10 mini lamps in the colour temperature you like best. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, hang it so the lowest shade clears heads comfortably over a table, and let the clean black lines read against pale plaster or warm timber.
