The Rose chandelier is an open cluster pendant built around a ring design: a fine brass framework of two rings, 40cm and 60cm across, rises to a ceiling canopy 10cm across, with six slim tube shades hanging in a ring beneath. It is made from a smooth brass structure with textile cable, in a polished brass finish, and it has six GU10 lamp holders. It comes in three sizes, named for the height of the shades: the 16cm size has 16cm tall shades, the 25cm size has 25cm tall shades and the 40cm size has 40cm tall shades, and all three share the same 10cm canopy.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms: over a dining table, in a living room, a hallway or landing, a bedroom, or a studio or office where a modern, airy pendant suits. The open frame lets the eye travel through it, so it gives a room a centrepiece without a heavy shade blocking the view across it. The 16cm size keeps the look lightest and suits a smaller room, the 25cm size sits well in most dining and living spaces, and the 40cm size, with its longest shades, suits a high ceiling or a larger open plan room where a taller cluster fills the height.

The structure is smooth brass hung on a 2.5m textile cable and made for 220 to 240V mains; as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to install. Control is on-off, switched, so it runs from an ordinary wall switch rather than a dimmer. Lamps are not included, so you choose six GU10 lamps to suit the room, and a warm white tone sits nicely against the brass. It carries a 3 year guarantee. We like it over a round dining table so the ring of shades echoes the table's shape, and let plain walls set off the brass.
