Description

The Roos LED wall light is built from two shapes: a gold disc against the wall and a long cylinder of sandblasted acrylic running through it, which the disc divides into two equal arms. The structure is iron in a gold finish, and the acrylic diffuses the light evenly along its length. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 12W and gives 700 lumens with a 360° beam angle, spreading light all around the cylinder and out into the room. We offer it in two colour temperatures: 2700K for a warmer glow, or 3000K for a slightly crisper warm white. A CRI of 90 or more means colours look true beneath it.

Rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only. We like it in a living room or hallway, either side of a bed instead of bedside lamps, or above a sideboard or console table, where a long horizontal line of light sits well with the furniture beneath. Because light leaves the cylinder in every direction, it washes the wall around it, which suits a landing or corridor. Its clean, modern lines suit contemporary interiors, and the gold finish brings warmth to white, grey or darker painted walls.

The iron structure carries the gold finish, and the sandblasted acrylic gives the cylinder its opaque, frosted look, so it reads as an even glow. It runs on 220-240V mains and is switched simply on and off; it is not dimmable, so it belongs on a standard switch rather than a dimmer. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 5 year guarantee. For a balanced look, use a pair either side of a hallway mirror or a bed at the same height, so the two lines of light read as one.
