Description

The Romy is a modern table lamp that pairs two honest materials: a solid black marble base and a white raw cotton drum shade. The base is a plain cylinder of marble, 18cm tall and 10cm across, its dark stone run through with fine pale veining, and it carries a broad drum shade 20cm tall and 35cm across. Light comes from one E27 lamp holder, so you choose the bulb and the colour of light yourself. Lamps are not included, so pick up an E27 bulb to go with it. The cotton drum softens the light and lets it glow through its sides.

It is made for the places a table lamp earns its keep: a bedside table, a sideboard in the living room, a console in the hallway or a desk in a study. The wide shade suits a roomy bedside or a side table next to a sofa, where it gives a soft pool of light for reading or winding down. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.
