Description

The Roda S/150/V is a ribbon ring LED pendant light: a wide circle of White Translucent Ribbon that hangs on its edge from fine wires, with a dark inner ring tracing its inside line. At 150cm across and 11cm deep it is a big piece, yet the open centre keeps it from feeling heavy, because you look straight through it. The integrated LED needs no bulb and gives 945lm of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, so wood, fabric and food look true beneath it. The ribbon is pleated all the way round, and the light glows softly through every fold.

Hung vertically, the Roda ring suits rooms with height to spare: above a long dining table, in a living room with a tall ceiling, or in a double-height hall, hotel reception or restaurant, where one ring or several at different drops can fill the space overhead. The drop goes up to 200cm, so you can set it at the height the room needs. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It comes in two dimmable versions: one for a DALI lighting control system and one for an analogue control dimmer, and each needs a compatible dimmer or controller.

It is made of aluminium, steel and ribbon, and it comes in two installation versions: a surface canopy version, which fixes to the ceiling with a canopy 30cm across, and a remote driver version, for a setup where the driver sits away from the fitting. Either way it runs on 230V mains power, draws 55.2W and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Before you choose, measure your ceiling height and the drop you want, and allow clear space all round: a ring 150cm across needs room to breathe.
