Description

The Roda S/150 is a ring pendant light on a grand scale: 150cm across, with a pleated white translucent ribbon shade wrapped around a dark inner ring. The ring itself is 6cm tall, so from below it reads as a slim band of light. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. At 55.2W it gives 945lm of warm 2700K light, softened by the translucent ribbon, and a CRI of 90 keeps colours, wood and skin tones looking true. It is made of aluminium, steel and ribbon.

A ring this size is made for a big room. Hung over a large dining table it spreads a wide, even glow across the whole table, and in a generous living room it gives the ceiling a single, calm centre that lights the space around it. Because it is rated IP20, it is for dry rooms only. It comes in two installation versions, with a surface canopy or with a remote driver, so you can choose the one that suits your ceiling and your electrician's plans. It also comes in two dimming versions, one of them DALI, for use with a compatible dimmer or lighting control system.

Its construction pairs aluminium and steel with the pleated ribbon shade, and the round canopy is 30cm across. The fine wires let the ring hang at the height that suits the room, on a drop of up to 200cm, so it can sit well clear of heads over a table or hang higher in a tall room. It runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician; as a Class I fitting it needs an earth connection. Our practical advice is to measure first: at 150cm across, the Roda S/150 needs clear space around it, so mark out the circle on the floor before you order.
