Description

The Roda S/150 is a large ring pendant light: a level hoop of translucent ribbon, 150cm across and 6cm tall, hung on fine suspension wires. Its shade is Cream Translucent Ribbon, pleated all the way round and edged on the inside with a dark ring, so the light comes through soft and warm. It runs on an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 55.2W and gives 930lm at 2700K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90 that keeps wood, fabric and skin tones looking true. It comes in two dimmable versions, one of them the DALI dimmable version, and in two installation versions: with a surface canopy or with a remote driver.

With a ring 150cm across, this is a pendant for a generous room. Hung over a long or round dining table, it circles the whole table with a band of light, and in a living room it gives a large open space one calm centre. It has a maximum drop of 200cm, so it can hang well down from a high ceiling, and because it dims you can take it from a bright supper to a low evening glow. In an open-plan room it can mark out the dining end without closing the space in. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

It is built from aluminium, steel and ribbon, and it is a Class I fitting running on the mains at 230V. It is wired in to the mains, so it is for a qualified electrician to install. The surface canopy is 30cm across. Whichever dimming version you choose, it needs a compatible dimmer or control, and the DALI dimmable version needs a DALI system to run it. Before you order, measure the room, as a 150cm ring needs clear space around it.
