Description

The Roda S/120/V is a ring pendant light: a large circle of white translucent ribbon, gathered in fine pleats around a black inner ring, that hangs upright from the ceiling. The ring is 120cm across, 101cm tall including its hanger and 11cm deep, so it reads as one bold shape in a room. Its light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 44.4W and gives 737 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, glowing softly through the ribbon so colours and faces look natural.

With a ring this size, it needs space around it. We would hang it above a long dining table, where the open circle frames the room without blocking the view across, or in a living room with a generous ceiling height. It hangs on fine wires from a round canopy 30cm across, with a drop of up to 200cm, so you can set its height to suit the room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

It is made of aluminium, steel and ribbon, with the ribbon pleated evenly all the way round the ring. It runs on 230V mains and is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earth connection, and it is wired in by a qualified electrician. You can choose between two installation versions, one with a surface canopy and one with a remote driver, and two dimmable versions: one for DALI control and one for a second dimming system. Either way it needs a compatible dimmer or control. Before you order, it is worth agreeing with your electrician which installation and dimming versions suit your ceiling and your controls.
