Description
The Rocket is a small in-ground light that sets flush into the ground and gives a warm point of light underfoot. This is the 40mm version, with an aluminium body and a tempered glass lens set behind a brushed steel rim, so it reads as a neat steel dot in paving, a deck or a step rather than a raised fitting. Rated to be walked over, it is made to mark a route or an edge from ground level.
The LED is built in and gives 180 lumens at a warm 3000K through a 20 degree beam, a little wider and brighter than the smallest 28mm head, so it throws a slightly broader pool close to the fitting. That makes it a marker light: a line of them picks out the run of a path, the tread of a step or the edge of a terrace after dark without glare into the eye. With a colour rendering above 90 the light stays warm and natural against stone or timber.
The LED is built in and rated for around 35,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. Rated IP67, it is sealed against dust and immersion for outdoor floor and ground use, and its tempered glass lens takes foot traffic. It runs from a driver, which we can supply alongside so it arrives ready to wire in.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Rocket give?
A small, warm marker light. The built-in LED gives 180 lumens at 3000K through a 20 degree beam, so it makes a contained pool close to the fitting to pick out a path, step or edge rather than lighting a whole area.
Can it be walked on and used outdoors?
Yes. It is a walkable in-ground fitting with a tempered glass lens, rated IP67 against dust and immersion, so it suits paving, decks, steps and terraces as well as indoor floors.
How does it compare to the smaller Rocket?
This 40mm head gives 180 lumens over a 20 degree beam, against the 28mm head's 100 lumens over 10 degrees. It casts a slightly wider, brighter pool, so it suits a route that needs a touch more light.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It is a 40mm brushed steel disc, 62mm deep. Rated IP67 and walkable, it suits marking a path, a step tread or a deck edge, run singly or in a line.
