Description

Rizzo is a small rechargeable table lamp that pairs a round top of natural alabaster with a spiral-ribbed base in Cork. The base is made from recycled wood and PLA, and its fine ribs twist around the cylinder from top to bottom. The white alabaster shade glows all round, with a 360° beam from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or change. It gives 250 lumens of warm 3000K light from 2.2W, with a colour rendering index of 90 or more, so wood, fabric and skin tones look true. It stands 16cm tall, with a base 11cm tall and 8cm across, and a 9cm shade.

Because it runs on its own battery, there is no flex to hide and no socket to find. Charged, it gives about six hours of light, so it can move from a bedside table to the dining table for supper, then on to a bookshelf or a desk in the study. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only, and living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms suit it well. Its small size makes it a good choice for a narrow shelf, a console table or a windowsill, and for anyone who wants soft, warm light wherever they sit.

Push dimming is built in: press the button on the base to set the brightness, with no separate dimmer needed. It comes with its USB Type-C charging cable; the plug is not included. Because the shade is natural alabaster, its veining is the stone's own. It carries a 3 year guarantee. For styling, we like it beside a stack of books, or as a pair at each end of a sideboard, where the Cork base sits happily with warm timber and the alabaster glows softly as the evening draws in.
