Description

The Rivale is a ceramic wall light with a single glass globe at its centre, set in a wavy, ribbed ceramic surround with a Matt White Striped glaze. Fine ridges radiate out from the globe across the ceramic, so the light picks out its texture and the whole fitting reads as soft and organic. It is 21cm wide and sits 9cm out from the wall, a compact size that keeps it close and tidy. The globe comes in Clear, Frosted or Opal glass, and the metalwork comes in Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass or Satin Brass, so you can match it to the taps, switches or handles already in the room. The Matt Black is RAL 9005.

Rated IP44, it suits a bathroom as well as a bedroom, a dining room or a living room. In a bathroom it gives a gentle light beside a mirror; in a bedroom, a pair either side of the bed leaves the bedside tables clear; in a dining room or living room, two or three along one wall add a soft, low glow for the evening. It is made for indoor use. Opal and Frosted glass diffuse the light, while Clear glass lets the bulb show, so pick the glass to suit how you use the room.

Each Rivale is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass, ceramic and glass, and the ceramic is finished in its Matt White Striped glaze whichever metal finish and glass you choose. It takes one G9 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb, and bulbs are sold separately. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase; bulbs are not covered. The Rivale is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so it is worth deciding where it goes before your electrician visits.
