Description

The Rivale is a flush ceiling light with a single glass globe set beneath a ceramic shade. The shade is glazed in Matt White Striped, with fine raised lines running out to a soft, ruffled edge that rises and falls around the globe. It sits under a rounded brass canopy that holds it close to the ceiling. It is 14cm tall and 21cm across, so it brings real character to a ceiling without coming far down into the room. It comes in five finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black and Satin Brass, with the Matt Black painted in RAL 9005. The globe comes in Opal, Clear or Frosted glass: Opal and Frosted soften the bulb, while Clear leaves it on view.

Its low height makes it a good choice for a hallway, where a pendant can feel crowded and a flush fitting keeps the space clear overhead. The ruffled ceramic against the metal suits a home with a gentler, more decorative look. The choice of finishes lets you match it to the handles, switches and other metalwork nearby. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician.
