Description

The Rivale is a flush ceiling light that pairs a ceramic shade with a single glass globe. The shade has a soft, wavy, ruffled rim and a Marbled glaze, so swirls of grey and white run through it and frame the globe at its centre. The globe comes in Opal, Clear or Frosted glass, and the round metal canopy in Matt Black, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass or Satin Brass, so you can set the marbling against black, silver or brass. It is 15.5cm tall and 21cm across, a compact size that keeps the light neat and close to the ceiling.

Because it sits flush, the Rivale suits a hallway, where a hanging pendant can feel in the way and a compact ceiling light gives a welcoming glow as you come through the door. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one G9 bulb, up to 5W per bulb, so pick one within that limit. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. Choose the Clear glass if you like to see the bulb, or the Opal or Frosted glass for a softer, more even spread of light.

Each Rivale is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass, ceramic and glass. The Marbled glaze is the same whichever finish and glass you choose, so the shade stays the heart of the design while the metal and globe change around it. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
