Description

The Rimini is a cone pendant light in yellow: a single conical shade with an iron structure, hanging on a 1.5m textile cable and casting its light downwards. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 4.5W and gives 600 lumens through a 45 degree beam, which keeps a focused pool of light below the shade rather than spreading it round the room. Its colour rendering index is 90 or more, so food, fabrics and paint colours look true beneath it.

We sell it in two colour temperatures, 2700K and 3000K, so you can choose the white you prefer. The 2700K version gives the warmer, cosier light of a traditional bulb, lovely in a dining room, bedroom or living room in the evening; the 3000K version is a touch crisper, good over a desk or in a hallway where you want to see clearly. The fitting is rated IP20, which means it is for dry rooms only. It is switched on and off and is not dimmable, so it suits a spot where one steady level of light is right. The yellow cone sits comfortably in modern and Scandinavian rooms, alongside pale wood, white walls and soft greys.

The structure is iron in a yellow finish, and the cable is covered in textile, which looks neater than plain plastic where it drops from the ceiling. It is a mains fitting for a qualified electrician to install, and it carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, hang two or three in a row over a long dining table, or one beside the bed in place of a bedside lamp, where the cone keeps the light on your book and out of your eyes.
