Description

The Rimini is a cone pendant light in blue: an iron cone that tapers from a narrow crown to a wide open rim and hangs on a 1.5m textile cable. Its light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. It draws 4.5W and gives 600 lumens through a 45° beam, a focused pool of light rather than a wide wash. With a colour rendering index of 90 or more, the colours of food, fabric and paint beneath it look true. It comes in two colour temperatures, 2700K for a warm, cosy white or 3000K for a slightly fresher warm white, so you can pick the one that suits the room.

Hung over a dining table, a desk or beside a bed, the conical shade sends its light downwards where you need it, and two or three in a row look good along a long table or a reception counter. The modern shape and strong blue bring a point of colour to a plain room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Dimming is by DALI, so a DALI control system or DALI dimmer is needed. DALI is the control system many offices, shops, restaurants and larger homes already run, which makes this pendant a sensible choice for a fit-out where all the lighting is managed from one system.

The structure is iron, finished in blue, and the cable is textile, so the fitting looks neat from crown to rim. It runs on 220-240V mains and, like any mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. It carries a 5 year guarantee. For styling, we would let the blue be the one bold colour in the space: it sits happily against white or grey walls and pale timber, and looks good with black or brass details nearby.
