Description
Our Rieti kimono is a reversible wrap made from recycled vintage materials, which gives you two quite different pieces in one. One side is a warm brown woven fabric crossed by broad stripes; the other is a dense printed pattern, and the lapels and turned-back cuffs show a flash of whichever side sits inside. It measures 150cm wide and 110cm long and weighs 1KG, with a tie belt and wide, roomy sleeves.
Wear it as an extra layer around the house on a cold morning, over a jumper and jeans at the weekend, or as a jacket in the weeks between seasons. The tie belt draws it in at the waist when you want some shape, and left untied it hangs open and relaxed. On the woven side there are pockets, somewhere for your hands on a walk to the shops. It suits anyone who likes pattern but wants the choice: the quieter striped side for most days, then the print when the mood calls for something livelier. Because both faces work with the belt, you are never stuck with one look.
The finish is woven on one face and printed on the other. Because the kimono is made from recycled vintage materials, the fabrics vary from piece to piece, so the print on the reverse and the fabric of the belt on yours may differ from another. Care is spot clean only, which means no washing machine: treat any mark on its own rather than washing the whole piece. For styling, wear the striped side out with denim and a chunky knit, then reverse it over something plain and let the print do the work.

Frequently Asked
Is the Rieti kimono reversible?
Yes. One side is a brown woven fabric with broad stripes and the other is a printed pattern, and the tie belt works with either side facing outwards.
What is the kimono's material?
It is made from recycled vintage materials, finished as a woven fabric on one side and a printed fabric on the other.
How should I clean it?
It is spot clean only, so treat any mark on its own rather than putting the whole kimono in the washing machine.
How big is the kimono?
It measures 150cm wide and 110cm long and weighs 1KG, and the tie belt lets you choose how closely it wraps at the waist.
Does it have pockets?
Yes. The woven brown side has pockets, so there is somewhere for your hands whenever that side faces outwards.
Will mine look exactly like another?
Not exactly. The fabrics vary from piece to piece, so the print on the reverse and the fabric of the belt can differ between kimonos.
