Description
The Rex is a curved half-cylinder for an outside wall, its face left solid so light leaves only through the top rim and the bottom lip. After dark it casts two soft arcs onto the surface, one climbing the wall and one falling toward the ground, with white acrylic panels at each edge diffusing the glow so no bright bulb shows. By day it reads as a rounded block bowing gently off the wall, 250mm across and 130mm proud.
This is the coffee version, a warm brown die-cast aluminium body that sits kindly against timber cladding, stone or a sand-toned render while the twin wash of light does the work. It takes a standard E27 bulb, so the brightness and colour are yours to set, which makes it simple to warm a doorway or lift a garden wall. Its softened shape suits a porch, a courtyard, a patio or a series stepped along a boundary.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium with white acrylic diffusers along the top and bottom edges, and it is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water for outdoor use. It accepts one E27 bulb up to 60W, which is not included, so you can fit an LED lamp at your preferred colour temperature. It wires straight to the mains.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Rex give?
A twin wash, one arc up the wall and one down toward the ground, from the top rim and bottom lip. The face is closed, so what shows on the surface is two soft bands of light rather than a lit panel or a bare bulb.
Does it take a bulb or is one included?
It takes one standard E27 bulb up to 60W, and a bulb is not included. You can fit an LED lamp at the output you like, whether a warm 2700K glow to match the brown body or a cleaner 4000K white.
Is it suitable for outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP54, sealed against dust and splashing water, so it suits a porch, a courtyard or a patio wall. As with any outdoor fitting it should be wired by a qualified electrician.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It measures 250mm wide, 120mm tall and 130mm off the wall. The up and down wash suits a doorway, a courtyard, a patio or a run along a boundary, where a soft grazing light is wanted rather than a flood.
