Description
The Rex is a curved half-cylinder for an outside wall, its face left solid so light escapes only from the top rim and the bottom lip. Lit after dark it throws two soft arcs onto the surface, one washing up and one washing down, with white acrylic panels at each edge spreading the glow rather than showing a bright bulb. By day it reads as a neat rounded block bowing gently off the wall, 250mm wide and standing 130mm proud.
This is the black version, a die-cast aluminium body that sits back against brick, render or a dark facade so the twin wash of light is what you notice. It takes a standard E27 bulb, so you set the warmth and brightness to suit the spot, which makes it easy to match a warm glow at a front door or a cooler light along a drive. Its rounded form suits a porch, a garage wall, a patio or a run spaced down a path.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium with white acrylic diffusers along the top and bottom edges, and it is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water for outdoor use. It accepts one E27 bulb up to 60W, which is not included, so you can fit an LED lamp at the colour temperature you prefer. It wires straight to the mains.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Rex give?
A twin wash, one arc up the wall and one down, from the top rim and bottom lip. The face itself is closed, so you see two soft bands of light on the surface rather than a bright panel or a visible bulb.
Does it take a bulb or is one included?
It takes one standard E27 bulb up to 60W, and a bulb is not included. That lets you choose an LED lamp at the brightness and warmth you want, from a warm 2700K glow to a crisper 4000K white.
Is it suitable for outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP54, sealed against dust and splashing water, so it suits a porch, a garage wall or a patio. As with any outdoor fitting it should be wired by a qualified electrician.
How big is it and where does it suit?
It measures 250mm wide, 120mm tall and 130mm off the wall. The up and down wash suits a front door, a garage, a patio wall or a row spaced along a path, where a soft grazing light is wanted rather than a flood.
