Description
Renzara hangs twelve short alabaster capsules from a square brass canopy, each on its own dark cord and each stopped at a different height so the group reads as a loose cluster rather than a tiered chandelier. Every capsule is a cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster 125mm across and 190mm tall, capped with a domed brass cover that hides the fixing. The canopy measures 780mm square and the fitting is designed around an overall drop of 2.5 metres.
The lighting is integrated LED across all twelve capsules, drawing 36W in total, which is modest for a fitting of this size because each capsule only has to light its own short length of stone. The domed brass caps stop any light escaping upward, so what you see is twelve separate glowing cylinders held at different heights, with the dark cords almost disappearing between them against a pale ceiling.
The canopy and caps are brass, the internal structure is stainless steel, and each capsule is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining differs from one to the next and no two chandeliers are alike. The square canopy suits a square or rectangular room better than a round plate would, and the 2.5 metre drop puts it in a stairwell or a double height space. Rated IP20 for interior use. The cords are dropped individually at installation, so the depth of the cluster and the gaps between capsules are set on site rather than fixed in the factory. That matters in a stairwell, where the fall has to answer the run of the stairs.

Frequently Asked
How big is each shade?
Each alabaster capsule is 125mm across and 190mm tall, with a domed brass cap over the top. Twelve of them hang from one 780mm square canopy.
Why is the wattage low for a chandelier this size?
Each capsule only has to light its own short length of stone rather than a whole shade, so twelve of them together draw 36W. The effect comes from the number of separate glowing points, not from raw output.
What ceiling height does it need?
It is designed around a 2.5 metre drop, so it suits a stairwell or a double height space. The cord lengths are set at installation, which is what fixes the shape of the cluster.
Does every capsule look the same?
No. Each is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining and translucency are unique to the piece and the twelve on one fitting will not match each other.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, which covers dry interior locations only, so it should not be installed in a bathroom zone or anywhere it may meet moisture.
