Description

The Ren is a single-light brass wall light: a round backplate, an angled arm and a wide, flat hood above a teardrop of glass. It is made from brass and glass, and it comes in seven finishes: Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Natural Brass, Matt Black, White and Satin Brass. The Matt Black and White versions are painted in Matt Black RAL 9005 and White RAL 9010, and on both the shade is Polished Brass, so the hood stays bright brass against the paint. The glass comes in Clear or Opal. It is 31.5cm tall and 16cm wide, and it stands 28cm out from the wall.

Rated IP65, the Ren is at home in a bathroom, beside a mirror or above a basin, and it sits just as well in a bedroom, a dining room or a living room. It is a light for indoor use. The angled arm brings the glass forward from the wall, so a pair works well either side of a bed, a dressing table or a sideboard. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes 1 x E27 bulb, up to 6.5W per bulb (LED), so choose an LED bulb within that limit.

Each Ren is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and glass, in the finish and glass you pick. It is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so book one in when you plan where it will go. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered. With seven finishes and two glasses to choose from, it is worth matching the finish to the taps, handles or other metal in the room before you order.
