Description

The Radiantix is a 60cm outdoor bollard light built from turned aluminium with a brown powder-coat finish and an opal plastic diffuser at the top. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating for protection against rain and dust ingress. The base plate fixes to concrete, paving or decking using anchor bolts.

Designed for paths, driveways, patios and garden borders where 60cm height provides foot-level ambient light without glare at eye level, the Radiantix spaces well at 3-4m intervals along a typical path or driveway edge. The opal diffuser softens the bulb light into a 360-degree spread, avoiding harsh downward spotting. The brown powder coat provides corrosion resistance in exposed outdoor conditions and pairs with timber decking, terracotta paving and natural stone without clashing with warmer-toned landscaping materials.

The 180mm diameter body gives the bollard presence without dominating smaller courtyard or side-passage installations. The turned aluminium construction keeps the weight manageable for single-person installation while providing the rigidity needed to withstand wind loading in exposed positions. The lamp is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and compatible outdoor dimmer, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of evening or seasonal use.

What bulb does the Radiantix take?

The bollard takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor path lighting. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can it be used in exposed coastal or wet locations?

The IP44 rating protects against rain and splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for typical UK garden, patio and driveway installations. It is not rated for submersion or direct hose-down cleaning.

How is the bollard fixed in place?

The base plate has pre-drilled holes for anchor bolts. The bollard can be fixed to concrete, paving slabs or timber decking. Electrical cable runs underground to the base and enters through a cable gland or knockout in the base plate.

Is the brown finish prone to fading?

The powder-coat finish provides UV resistance and should retain its colour tone through several years of outdoor exposure. Some surface weathering is typical with any outdoor metal finish over time, but the brown tone is less prone to visible fading than lighter colours.
