Description
The QTX GOBO-Hex packs six lighting effects into one compact fixture. It combines colourful GOBOs, a 10W RGBW magic ball, four white strobe/UV LEDs, four 4W RGBW PARs and a dual-colour red/green laser, so you get plenty of variety from a single unit. It weighs 1.3kg and measures 135 x 155 x 260mm, which makes it easy to carry to a gig, pack into a bag or fix in place at home.
You have four ways to run it. Use the built-in automatic programs, let the sound-to-light mode react to the music, link several units in master/slave, or take full control through the 16-channel DMX (DMX512) connection. An IR remote is supplied for quick changes, and it runs on two AAA batteries. DMX in and out use standard 3-pin XLR, and power runs through an IEC connector at 110-240 Vac.
The laser is Class 3B, with 120mW red and 30mW green output, so treat it with the usual care around eyes. Power consumption is a modest 80W and the fuse rating is F1A. The fixture ships with a mounting bracket, so you can rig it overhead or angle it from a stand. Between the GOBOs, PARs, magic ball, UV/strobe and laser, the GOBO-Hex covers most of what a small room or party set-up needs without you having to buy several separate effects.
