Description
The QTX Crystal Blaze is a tabletop LED light effect built around eight 3W RGBW LEDs. These produce coloured beams and four GOBOs, which are sent through a rippled dome to spread bright, colourful patterns over a wide area. It is a simple unit that does a useful job, throwing multicoloured light across a room without taking up much space.
You get three ways to run it. Auto mode cycles through effects on its own, sound to light reacts to the music, and you can also pick a fixed colour when you want something steadier. Control is handled by the buttons on the unit, the supplied RF remote, or 8 channel DMX if you want to tie it into a wider rig. The remote takes a CR2025 battery, which is included in the box.
At 190 x 190 x 175mm and 640g, the Crystal Blaze sits neatly on a table or shelf and is easy to carry between jobs. It draws 30W from a 100-220Vac supply and connects over 3-pin XLR for DMX in and out, so you can chain several units together in master/slave. It suits smaller venues, home discos and parties where you want plenty of colour and movement from one compact effect.
