Description

The Pyrus is a semi flush ceiling light with a shallow ceramic shade in a Matt White Striped glaze, held close to the ceiling on a short brass stem and a round ceiling plate. It is 10cm tall and 27cm across, so it sits neatly where a pendant would hang too low. Fine lines radiate across the underside of the shade, giving the white glaze a gentle texture when you look up at it, and the single bulb hangs just below the rim. The metalwork comes in Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass, Polished Copper or Satin Brass, and the Matt Black finish is painted in RAL 9005.

At just 10cm tall, it is a good choice for a hallway, especially one with a lower ceiling, where you want light overhead without anything to duck under. The white ceramic keeps the look quiet and fresh, and the finish lets you match it to your door handles, switches or other fittings: Antique Brass or Antique Silver for a mellow, aged look, Polished Brass or Polished Copper for a brighter gleam, Satin Brass for a softer sheen, Matt Black for crisp contrast. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only, and it is made for indoor use.

Each light is made to order for you in Ireland, from brass and ceramic. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earth connection, and it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. Bulbs are sold separately: it takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W per bulb. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, though bulbs are not covered. When you order, pick the finish that suits your room, have an E27 bulb ready, and it is all set for your electrician to put up.
