Description

The Pro Shade is a 45cm tall LED pendant light built around a slender 3cm diameter aluminium cylinder finished in matt black. An integrated 6W LED runs the length of the cylinder, casting light through an acrylic diffuser that sits flush with the bottom edge. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light closer to daylight than warm white, making it suitable for task-oriented spaces as well as ambient lighting.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and office desks, the pendant hangs on a wire suspension adjustable up to 345cm maximum drop from the ceiling canopy. The narrow 3cm diameter means multiple pendants can be hung in a row without visual crowding, and the matt black finish provides a defined vertical line that contrasts cleanly against white or pale ceilings. The IP20 rating limits the pendant to dry indoor locations only.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at under 500g despite the 45cm length, reducing strain on ceiling fixings. The acrylic diffuser softens the LED output and prevents direct glare when viewed from the side, while the black finish on the cylinder absorbs light internally to maintain a clean silhouette when the pendant is switched off. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a rated lifespan of 25,000+ hours at standard domestic use patterns.

No. The integrated LED operates at a fixed 6W output and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED is rated at 4000K, which produces a neutral white light closer to daylight than the warm white (2700K-3000K) common in living rooms. This makes it better suited to task lighting in kitchens, offices and bathrooms than purely decorative ambient settings.

Can multiple pendants be hung in a row?

Yes. The 3cm diameter allows multiple Pro Shade pendants to be spaced 15-20cm apart over a kitchen island or dining table without visual crowding. Each pendant requires its own ceiling fixing and wiring point.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the aluminium cylinder and is non-replaceable. The rated lifespan is 25,000+ hours, equivalent to approximately 11 years at 6 hours per day usage.
