Description

The PowerMaster fire-rated bezel is a clip-on trim ring for PowerMaster 5.5W IP65 LED downlights, finished in brushed chrome with a recessed profile that sits flush to ceiling level. The bezel clips directly onto the downlight housing without tools, covering the cut-out edge and providing a finished aperture around the light source.

Designed for use in bathrooms, kitchens and other moisture-prone areas where downlights are recessed into plasterboard or concrete ceilings, the bezel carries an IP65 rating and is suitable for installation in bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3 (not zone 0). The fire-rated construction helps maintain the integrity of a fire-rated ceiling assembly when paired with a compatible fire-rated downlight housing.

The brushed chrome finish shows a directional grain pattern that reduces fingerprint visibility and softens reflections compared to polished chrome. The bezel measures approximately 90mm outer diameter and weighs 10g, adding minimal load to the downlight fitting. The clip-on mechanism means the bezel can be removed for redecorating or downlight replacement without disturbing the ceiling cut-out.

The bezel is designed to clip onto the PowerMaster 5.5W IP65 LED Downlight. It may fit other PowerMaster downlight models with the same housing diameter, but compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.

Can it be used in a bathroom shower area?

The IP65 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3, which includes areas above a bath or shower enclosure and within 60cm of a water source. It is not rated for zone 0, which is the area inside a bath or shower tray itself.

Does the bezel maintain fire rating?

Yes, when paired with a fire-rated PowerMaster downlight housing. The bezel is designed to work as part of a fire-rated ceiling assembly, but the fire rating depends on correct installation of both the downlight and the bezel according to manufacturer instructions.

How is it fitted?

The bezel clips directly onto the downlight housing once the downlight is installed in the ceiling. No screws or fixings are required. To remove, the bezel is gently levered away from the housing edge.
