This polycarbonate diffuser is designed to fit 5ft T8 batten fittings, measuring 1530mm long by 72mm wide. The diffuser clips onto the batten housing to cover the exposed tube, softening the light output and reducing direct glare from the fluorescent tube. The polycarbonate construction provides impact resistance and maintains optical clarity without yellowing over time.

Designed for office, workshop and retail environments where T8 fluorescent battens are installed, the diffuser reduces harsh shadows and creates a more even spread of light across worksurfaces and floor areas. The 48° projection angle allows the diffuser to sit within the batten housing without adding significant depth to the fitting. Installation involves clipping the diffuser into the batten's frame channels, which can be done without removing the tube or disconnecting the power supply.

The IP20 rating indicates the diffuser is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Polycarbonate as a material is more impact-resistant than acrylic, making it suitable for commercial environments where accidental knocks from ladders, stock or equipment are possible. The clear finish retains around 90% of the batten's light output while dispersing it more evenly than an unshielded tube.
