Description
The Planet is a slim flush ceiling disc that mounts flat and reads as a shallow round plate overhead. A matt brass metal base holds a central reflecting disc under a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser, so the built-in LED bounces off the plate and spreads as a soft even glow rather than a direct downward beam. Lit, the brass edge catches a warm sheen around the light; off, it holds as a low domed circle against the plaster.
The plate spans 400mm and stands just 50mm off the ceiling, one of the shallower ceiling fittings we carry, which suits a low hall, a bedroom or a landing where headroom is tight and a hanging piece would sit too far down. Its indirect throw makes it a good general-fill light for a small to mid-sized room rather than a task light over a work surface.
Behind the diffuser the integrated LED draws 20W for 1850 lumens at 3000K warm white, with a colour rendering index above 90 and a rated life near 30,000 hours, so tones stay true and there is no bulb to buy or swap. It runs on-off from a standard wall switch without dimming, carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms and an insulation class of II, and arrives ready to mount with the module already fitted.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Planet give?
A soft even glow at 3000K warm white. Its LED bounces off a central reflecting plate and out through a satin opal diffuser, so the light reads as gentle indirect fill rather than a hard beam, with a colour rendering index above 90 for true colour.
Does it need bulbs?
No. A 20W integrated LED rated at 1850 lumens is built in and included, so there is nothing separate to buy or fit, and the module is rated for around 30,000 hours of use.
Can it be dimmed?
No. This is a fixed-output fitting that switches on and off from a standard wall control and does not vary in brightness.
How big is it and where does it suit?
At 400mm across and only 50mm deep it sits almost flat, which suits a low hall, a bedroom or a landing with limited headroom where a deeper fitting or a pendant would not work.
