Description

The Planet is a slim round ceiling light built as a shallow brass disc that sits flat against the ceiling rather than hanging down. A central reflecting disc directs the integrated LED down through a satin opal face, so the light reads as an even, downward pool rather than a bare source, with the metal rim framing it in warm brass. Unlit, it holds its shape as a plain brass circle, keeping a low profile overhead.

This is the smallest of the three at 300mm across and only 50mm deep, giving 1350 lumens of warm 3000K light from a 15W LED with a high CRI over 90, so colours in the room read true. That output suits a hallway, a small kitchen, a bedroom or a landing where you want a neat ceiling light that keeps headroom clear.

The base and central disc are matt varnished metal in brass, with a satin opal polycarbonate diffuser, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. The LED is built in and rated for around 30,000 hours, so there is no bulb to buy or change. We supply it ready to wire in as a standard on/off fitting.

No. The Planet uses a built-in 15W LED, so the light source is included and rated for around 30,000 hours. There is no separate lamp to buy or fit; it arrives ready to wire.

Can it be dimmed?

No. As built it is a standard on/off ceiling light with no dimming, so we would treat it as a fixed-output fitting. We can advise on the wider Planet options if you need to vary the light.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The disc is 300mm across and 50mm deep, so it sits close to the ceiling. At this size it suits a hallway, a small kitchen, a bedroom or a landing where you want a flat, even ceiling light.
