Description

The Plafonet 43 is a drum ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, with a shade that tapers from 43cm across at the top to 37cm across at the base. It stands 15cm tall, so it keeps a low profile even in a room with a modest ceiling height. We offer it with a choice of three shades: White Translucent Ribbon, Cream Translucent Ribbon or White Cotton. The White Translucent Ribbon shade is gathered into fine, even pleats that glow softly when it is switched on. A diffuser closes the underside, so the light spreads evenly across the room with no bare bulb in view.

Because it sits flush rather than hanging, the Plafonet 43 is a good fit for a hallway, landing or corridor, where a pendant would be in the way. It works just as well in a bedroom, living room, dining room or study. The tapered shape gives it a soft, tailored outline from below. Choose White Translucent Ribbon or White Cotton for a crisp, clean look against pale walls, or Cream Translucent Ribbon for a warmer tone alongside wood panelling and darker interiors. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

The Plafonet 43 is made from iron and brass with a chrome structure, and it is a Class II fitting. It takes two E27 bulbs of up to 9W each. These are not included and are sold separately, and they provide the light, so you can choose the brightness and warmth you prefer within that limit. It runs on the 230V mains and is wired in by an electrician, so a qualified electrician should install it. Pick up your bulbs at the same time, so the light is ready to switch on as soon as it is installed. Our photographs show the white version.
